Monthly Doodles #14 – June and Comicbook Illustration

So back when I was wrapping up my spring 2017 semester, I decided to to take another summer course. More precisely I decided that I wanted to take the Comicbook Illustration course that I noticed flyers for. Really it just seemed like a course that was perfect for me. I mean, after all, what I want to do with my art is stuff like comics and manga. I want to work in sequential art. So after some rather quick thinking I signed up for the class.

Monthly Doodles #12 – More of a life update since I didn’t really draw anything…..

It’s April 30, 2017, and my latest college semester is nearly over. My classes for the semester are now very much and all that remains is for me to be ready for my final exams left this week. I tried to make time to draw as much as I could this month but unfortunately I wasn’t able to do anything. This last month has been pretty crazy, and it’s been quite a hassle trying to balance it all. I’ve been so busy or distracted. And I honestly can’t help but feel a bit upset I wasn’t able to draw anything this month.

I’ve got plans though so maybe I’ll be able to work things out. Here’s hoping. And hey I was able to draw a little something for Frog-Kun’s Birthday !

Monthly Doodles #8 – Happy New Year!

Another year has come to a close. It’s hard to believe that another year has already come to an end. It really does feel like this year has flown by. I’ve finished another semester and I’m now currently a College senior. I finished Typography, part one of second year Japanese, Intermediate figure drawing, and Intro to print. Pokemon celebrated its Twentieth anniversary and I got Pokemon Moon. Rogue one came out and I turned twenty-three only eleven days ago. It’s pretty incredible how time seems to fly.

Life Updates & Blog Plans

The ETSU Spring 2016 semseter ended last week. Bringing my Beginning Japanese I, Intro to Storytelling, Core Studio II, and Basic Figure Drawing to a close. I’m actually quite happy with my time in these classes. In fact, I had only expected to get Cs in them at best; so I was actually quite surprised that my final grades were three Bs and an A. So happy with those grades. Hopefully, I can do just as good if not better in my upcoming summer and fall classes. Here’s hoping.

Next week I’ll have Layout and Production as one of two summer classes. That’ll certainly be interesting. Then I’ll have Beginning Japanese II come July. I’ve quite loved my Japanese class, much more than Spanish.

I’ve got some upcoming plans for my little blog. First a little idea I’ve had for awhile, a post sharing doodles and art ever month. Hopefully, I can get that started as I feel it can work as a way to help keep me drawing. It really would feel nice to be drawing more once again. Plus, i’ve got some other plans that’ll have to wait till they come. It feels really great to be reapplying myself.
